Western Serves Network - Community Partner Proposal

Western Serves: Community Partner Request

We've currently hit capacity for events that we can likely support through the Western Serves Network, from January - April 2018. If we haven't yet been in touch regarding your request, someone will be in touch shortly. In the meantime, if you're looking for collaborations, please email bboles3@uwo.ca to discuss possible options.

The Western Serves Network (WSN) aims to connect community organizations in the London area with the support they need.
Community partners are welcomed to submit group volunteer opportunities through this form, and the Western Serves Network team will work to find students to support your organization and its initiatives. Organizations are welcome to submit a variety of types of activities, including:

  • Unique, one-off events and requests

  • Reoccurring events (ex. A group that might meet once a month)

  • An ongoing project (ex. You may be searching for a group of students to develop and implement an initiative, event etc.)

The Western Serves Network runs during the academic year, from September through April.

Please submit a request for group volunteering opportunities through the form below, and someone will be in touch as soon as possible. If you have questions about the Western Serves Network, you can visit our website here: http://success.uwo.ca/experience/western_serves/index.html

Need help envisioning how the Western Serves Network of volunteers could help your organization, or just have more questions? Please email Brent Boles, Community Engagement Coordinator at bboles3@uwo.ca or call at 519-661-2111, ext. 85214.
Note: While the Western Serves Network will work to connect you with students, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to provide volunteers for every event as it’s dependent on student schedules and sign ups. A representative from the WSN will keep contact with you and update you on registration as your event draws close.

Note: You may wish to investigate working with one of the courses on campus that participates in Community Engaged Learning. Details on those classes can be found here:
http://success.uwo.ca/experience/curricular/index.html
Please contact Community Engaged Learning Coordinators Lisa Boyko or Kelly Hollingshead for more details on that opportunity, at lboyko4@uwo.ca and khollin2@uwo.ca
